Många och mycket

In Swedish, as well as in English we make difference between ”many” and ”much”. If you can count something, that has to be ”många”. For non count nouns you should use ”mycket”. Here is an example:

”Hur många böcker har du?”</b> – how many books do you have?

”Hur mycket vatten får jag använda?”</b> – how much water should i use?

Want to get confused?

We say: ”Jag äter sill och potatis” even you eat many potatoes and fish

However: ”Jag äter köttbullar” – you simple can not eat just one!!! Maybe because they are so tasty!
